Mrs. Maressa Martinez-Carlson, Kindergarten
Hi, My name is Maressa Martinez-Carlson.  I have five years of teaching experience. I have been working at La Purisima Concepción Catholic School since 2013. My experiences have been with preschool through the primary level. I was born and raised in Lompoc.  I love being back at my early childhood school.  From Kindergarten through 8th grade I attended La Purisima Concepción Catholic School and was fortunate enough to continue my catholic education at St. Joseph High School.  In the fall of 2008, I completed my B.A. in Early Childhood Studies at Chapman University and in Spring of 2016, I concluded my Master’s in Education.

In my classroom, I work toward honoring the individuality of each student.  As a teacher, one of the best gifts I can give my students is to empower them to be responsible for themselves, and perform to the best of their own ability.

When I am not at school, I enjoy being with my family.  Chad and I have two children, one in 4th grade and one in 1st grade.  They are the delight of our lives.  Other interests I have are helping the youth within the community anyway I can!  Chad and I coach several different sports, not just for our children, but because we want to give something back to the community.  I am also a 4H leader because I love working with young children.
